scurry event a coupla days ago i woke up with this dream in my noggin of my brother and his gf getting engaged... not that i dont love my kuya but honestly he's not ready for that kinda thing and his gf is a nice chick but doesnt seem to be the shall we say sharpest knife in the proverbial drawer... plus she's got the baggage of having a like 5 or 6 yr old son...
made me think of the problem most people have.. maybe even i have, in thinking that you can change the way other people are or that events and outside factors can cause changes in peoples thoughts and behaviors... when really i figure that a person has to make a real conscious choice to be who they want to be, not for someone else but for themselves... thats real lasting change for i guess the better. or at least their own better-ment, which isnt just a subjective judgment of better as you see it but better as a person... cause there are good people and bad people in this world and its more than just a matter of who does the least amount of harm...
god am i increasing entropy with my mental masturbation here? maybe internet information entropy... c'est la vie...
jeez, its not cool being the semi-responsible person that i'm expected to be in the haus... beyonce' like relies on me, at least i think she does... why cant i just be that old ignored middle child doing my own thang at my own pace...

sympathy and the ability to see life through another's eyes are qualities that conservative thinkers lack... thats part of why im a liberal and i think we see the world as a multi-faceted place where we all get through together as opposed to individuals that are free to do as they please... you're not really free in a negative freedom sense, you're bound by and to your place/space/role in society... you're a piece of a jigsaw puzzle... a chess piece on a board bound by rules that you dont create but must abide by. or else you're what... not part of humanity... impossible... no man is an island... (brought about by a discussion at work on whether or not a person deserved a chance to get a loan to refinance her home)
